Program

3 days advanced course will cover theoretical and practical aspects of following LIVE CELL techniques:

  • High speed confocal imaging using spinning disc microscope
  • Holographic Phase image acquisition, cell tracking, quantitative mass measurement
  • Live cell Superresolution microscopy using Structured Illumination (SIM) and Stimulated Depletion (STED) microscopy extended with RESCue STED,
  • Photo-Kinetic measurements ( FRAP and/or photo-activation) followed with analysis
  • Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM)

The course will be organized in the morning block of plenary lectures and afternoon practical demonstrations and hands-on sessions.

The block of plenary lectures is aimed to describe presented techniques, principles of each method and physics background.

During the practical session the participants will be practically taught how to set the parameters crucial for each particular method. This part of the course will give the opportunity to participants for maximal interaction with lectors and colleagues in a small group around the microscope.

Participants will have an opportunity to be in touch with the cutting-edge machines and well experienced people.
